Lose Fat Tummy - Drink Lots of Water To Aid Weight Loss

Water is vital for our survival but do you know that it can also be critical in helping you lose weight. When beginning a weight loss program, many people fail to incorporate enough water into their diet with a resulting loss in benefits that water provides and as a result they don’t lose as much weight as they could.
There is much truth in claims that drinking water is a natural way to counteract hunger pains because when you drink water, you tend to “feel full” quite quickly but more importantly it flushes out your system allowing your body to rid itself of harmful toxins and it can also boost your energy levels thus improving your metabolism allowing you to consume calories more quickly.

Research indicates that hunger and thirst may be inextricably linked so at times you may think that you’re hungry while actually you’re thirsty. Sounds strange I know but it is at times like these that drinking water can help you to feel satiated without expanding your waistline

How much water should we consume every day? You will have read that a minimum of eight pints is essential but I argue strongly against that statistic. We are all built differently and thus have differing needs so base your water intake on two very simple tests. One, if you are thirsty drink a glass of water, pretty obvious, but Two is more important and that is to keep an eye on the colour of your urine. A well hydrated body produces clear urine so if it becomes discolored time to take on water. If you drink a little and often throughout the day this should keep you hydrated, but if urine becomes discolored just increase the amounts you consume.

Begin your day with a glass of slightly warm water with an added squeeze of fresh lemon or lime before your breakfast this will kick start your metabolism into action for the day.
